Email Auto Responders (not available in Free Non-Profit hosting packages)

If you have any of our paid hosting packages, you can set up an automatic email to reply with a specific pre-written message you compose. Specify which of your email addresses (you1@yourdomain.com, you2@yourdomain.com, etc.) will trigger the automatic reply to the sender.

Autoresponders can be great tools if you get creative. You can use them to automatically send coupons to people who request them, or to answer specific questions (a different autoresponder to each question), and more. Use your imagination!

NOTE: If you want to receive the original request email which triggered the autoresponder, you must either set up your autoresponder to react to a specific named email account (an email account which is already set up), or set up a local forwarder for the email address which sends the autoresponder.

For example: Say your default (catchall) email account is "username@yourdomain.com". You set up an autoresponder to react to "coupons@yourdomain.com", but you don't have a separate email account called "coupons". You must set up a local forwarder which will recognize email received at "coupons@yourdomain.com" and forward it on to "username@yourdomain.com" or any other local email address (local = @yourdomain.com) where you receive email. If you do not do this, then the "coupons" prefix will simply be used as a trigger for the autoresponder, but will not send you the email from the person who triggered the autoresponder.
